Who says that reading PDF files are only for those who can see? Well, not this time. People who are blind readers are those who are Disabled Persons. There are actually a lot technological advancements wherein these kinds of people are the ones to get benefit. For instance, more texts are being converted into audio files. But somehow, at some point, you might even think. Are these developments enough to assist these less fortunate people? Are these all that we have got to help them easily access the same world and technology that we do have? Well maybe, it is not.

Luckily, people whom we considered to be munificent choose to continuously improve and develop software and programs which can be of help to people who have some disabilities, specifically those who are visually impaired. As far as we are all concerned, PDF files play a significant role in our lives these days. Most especially if you are a student who does more of research activities or an office worker who needs to have wide reference, PDF is considered to be a life saver. As a matter of fact, PDF files are now being recognized as an online book, which is I think is true. Aside from the data and information that it provides us, it also offers us the ease to access each of those. Well actually, these benefit and advantages are often encountered and experienced by those who can see and view normally. But, how about those who are not?

As we all know, Portable Document Files or simply the PDFs are files which are mainly composed of text and images. It is regarded as the most popular means of sending documents on the Internet from the Adobe stable. With the help of Adobe Acrobat which is a program that can also be utilized for modifying PDF files, these kinds of files can now be created.

Fortunately, the possibility of adding movies or sounds in a PDF has already taken place. Audio files can now be embedded into the PDF itself, so there is no more need for the sound file and PDF to be transferred individually. However, one must use the paid version of Adobe Acrobat in order to accomplish this activity. You can use similar documents or files of your own. And you will definitely need a multi-page PDF file, along with a movie and a sound file.

Indeed, it can be regarded as a good news since the benefit of utilizing PDF cannot only be passed on to people with normal situations but also to those people who continue to struggle and fight for life. These computer screen readers for them are the life savers since it help them to experience the new world of technology. Computer screen readers is a software under the category of assistive technology in which it focuses on trying to identify and at the same time interpret what is being demonstrated on the computer screen. These screen readers are often corresponded in to the form of speech, sound or Braille output.

It has been a wish of people who draw using AutoCad, for their drawings and designs to be saved and stored in PDF format, that way, it is easier to send and receive the files. Aside from that, saving the drawings and designs in PDF format is like printing it onto virtual paper, so no changes will be made on the drawing. It is also very helpful to our modern day gadgets like tablet computers such as the iPad, and as well as smart phones. This is very beneficial since you can be able to send and open the files virtually anywhere at any given time.

In the versions of Auto Cad before 2009, you have to save the drawings first in its default format and then convert it into PDF if you want to send or view it as PDF. But the need for having a built in tool that converts the default AutoCad file to PDF was realized by the developers of AutoCad and added it to the versions starting 2009. Now, all the versions of AutoCad support the saving of files into PDF format. And you don’t need to download a separate program or converter for this the export to PDF tool is directly embedded in AutoCad. It is also fairly very easy to do.

Saving an AutoCad file to PDF format can be done simply in a few steps:

Install the latest version of AutoCad on your computer, must be 2009 or later. You may need to uninstall the previous version you have for it not to interfere with the new version.

Reboot your computer to finish the installation process.

Launch AutoCad and create your drawing or design.

Once you are finished with the drawing, click the Export button on the toolbar.

Type in a unique file name and then click save. The file is now saved in PDF format.

This method basically does the job, but if you want to fine tune the process and edit the settings of it, you can do so by pulling up the drop down menu of the Export tool. From there, you can choose whether to export a single layout or all the given layouts. You can also change the page setup of the file. If you want to retain the current page setup, just set it into ‘current’, but should you wish to revise it, you can do so by clicking override. Doing so will prompt a dialog box in which you can edit the plotting options. From the dialog box, you can edit the orientation of the drawing, whether you would like to save it in landscape or portrait format. The paper size can also be changed from there. But the most important factor that can be edited in the Override dialog box is the scale values. You can input numeric values at the appropriate fields to scale your drawing or design.

The addition of the Export to PDF tool in AutoCad has indeed been very helpful especially in businesses that rely on plotting using AutoCad.

Ever since the time that the PDF files were considered to be a significant part of our daily lives, more and more programs and as well as software involving PDF files are being developed. It is actually due to the fact that PDF files were found to be very useful most particularly when it comes to providing data and information and also for study and research purposes.

On account of this, several features of PDF files are being improved. For instance, one can now actually insert images and audio files right into PDF documents. Another one is that PDF files can now be converted into Microsoft Word documents for editing and modifying reasons.

Undeniably, PDF files are becoming very much important these days. With that, new software concerning PDF files is being developed. And that is the PDF Audio Scanner.

PDF Audio Scanner is a software which is considered to be a text-to-speech type. Actually, this program is often used by people with disabilities just like those who are known to be visually impaired or blind readers. PDF Audio Scanner has the characteristic of reading PDF files in such a way that the voice is the one used as the instrument for interpretation. Not only that, PDF Audio Scanner also has the ability to convert these written files and documents into audio files such as MP3, MP4, WAV and many more. And also, with PDF Audio Scanner, you can be able to edit your own audio files.

PDF Audio Scanner has a wide range of benefits and advantages. It chiefly includes the following:

Helps people who have learning complexity such as dyslexia. By merely using PDF Audio Scanner, one can eventually improve his or her reading comprehension and as well as spelling and listening skills.

Assists people to develop skills in constructing and revising simple sentences. PDF Audio Scanner lets people to easily identify common writing mistakes.

Aids people who have sight problems or reading difficulties. PDF Audio Scanner can make reading an easy and at the same time stress-free and enjoyable task to do for those who are currently experiencing this kind of intricacy.

Helps people to learn various foreign languages. With PDF Audio Scanner, one can instantly learn different languages by just listening and following the right word pronunciations.

Actually, PDF Audio Scanner mainly benefits people who are not lucky enough to enjoy things like these normally. PDF Audio Scanner is somewhat considered to be a tool to help these kinds of people to have an easy access to the files and documents like PDF files. Just like the one recently developed, the PDF files for visually impaired or blind readers. Actually, it is almost similar with this software it is just that PDF Audio Scanner has more features and specifications.

Indeed, PDF Audio Scanner is just another great software application mainly developed for the sake of the people who cannot actually see.

In our very advanced world nowadays, PDF files are everywhere. An office presentation may be saved in pdf; an eBook you are reading can also be in pdf format. The reason behind this is the characteristic of the pdf file to retain the original file, with all the texts and photos, no matter how many times it is printed, or copied or even sent. The file stays the same unless purposely edited. To make it better, the default program in opening pdf files, Adobe Acrobat is free.

Another very popular file is a word file. Almost everyone who uses computers also uses Microsoft Words. It can be research papers for students or financial projections for the employed. Bottom line is Word documents are also one of the most used file format, along with pdf.

Because of this, Microsoft has tweaked Microsoft Word a little bit for the users to be able to create files using Microsoft Word and then later on save it as a pdf file or an xps file. If you want to know how to do just that, follow the steps below:

Click the Microsoft Office button and then hover over the Save As button

Once the sub menu has been revealed, click PDF or XPS

This is going to prompt a Publish as PDF or XPS dialog box.

If you want to edit the settings of the file, you can choose to click Options to reveal other details.

Once you are finished editing the details, click OK to save the file.

The details of the file that can be edited by clicking Options are Page Range, where in you can choose the pages of the file that you want to save as pdf, you can choose the whole document, or just the current page or even a range of pages. Under the Publish What menu, you can choose to save the document as a clean file or a file in which the changes and revisions are shown. Bookmarks and other document properties can be edited under Include non-printing information option.

If you are saving the file as an XPS file and you want the document to be enabled with Information Rights Management, just tick the check box corresponding to Preserve Restricted Permissions in XPS. This will be ticked by default, if you don’t want to choose it, just uncheck the radio button.

But if you choose to save the file in PDF format, you can choose to save it in an ISO 19005-1 compliant format by ticking the check box corresponding to it. If you want the file to appear exactly how you designed it, you can choose to tick the box corresponding to Bitmap text when fonts may not be embedded. But there are cases in which the creator of the files uses fonts in which he does not have embedding rights, so if you want these fonts to appear as is when opened by others you can clear the check box.

Most likely, this article may not be useful to those who already have their unlimited internet connections especially in these modern times. However, to those who keep on struggling with their narrow online connections, this article can be somehow useful. More often than not, working online these days seems to be very unordinary particularly, if we talk about doing some researches, finishing home works, and all other stuff. Almost everybody relies on the internet in order for them to finish certain task or activity. Well, actually, I am one of those people who find being online very useful and practical these days.

Still, if being online assist us in so many ways, then how about being offline? So, what is the purpose of our web browsers when they are not connected with the internet? These are just some of the few questions that could be immediately answered by this article.

So probably, the first thing that we should know about working offline is that, the web pages that we store offline can help us to quickly remember all the references we used in our studies or researches. Another good thing is that, some websites includes some features that we can use during offline and with this; it can prevent us from depending on the internet nonstop in a day. Below are some of the helpful tips which will guide you to read saved web pages offline:

Usually, for a bookworm or the person who loves to read, time is never an issue. He or she never minds time as long as he or she is enjoying what he or she is reading. Personally, I consider reading online as a hassle. Why? It is simply because when I am connected with the internet, I still want to do other things aside from reading. In more simple terms, I am not focused. And with that as a reason, I would more prefer to continue with what I am reading offline, so that I can be sure of a hundred percent concentration.

For you to be able to read a web page offline, the first thing that you should do is to search for the page that you want to read, well, offline. And then, just the same with what we do in Microsoft Word, go to the File Menu of your web browser, and then immediately click on for the Save As option in order to save the web page that you desire to be stored in a location that you want and then, rename it. If you are done with these steps, then you can now select the Save button.

Those were just the simple steps that you should follow for you to be able to read certain web pages offline. Actually, it is just the same with what we are used to do when we want to view on some files, just search the file name, click, and that is it. I hope this article helps you by merely suggesting easy guidelines.

What is with PDF files that make them so popular? Those who are still unaware of these Portable Data Formats may beg answers for this question. When a friend sends you a file in a PDF format and you just don’t know what to do with it, you skeptically ask why your friend chose to send it that way. This may be a common reaction that comes to those who are new to PDF files. You don’t necessarily have to learn complex functions in able to use this typical format. It’s actually pretty simple to use and when you slowly discover the benefits in using PDF files, the question of why it became popular will no longer bother your head.

What is contained in a PDF file anyway? It actually depends on what someone wants it to contain. PDF files are basically compressed representations of the documents we wish to make use of. This feature allows the user to transform any document, printed or computerized into a transportable format. So if you want to share your favorite book to your friend but you just can’t simply hand it over to them, creating a PDF would be a convenient way for you to do so. You can scan any document and turn it into a PDF for file sharing. The contents of a conventional PDF are mostly that of printed reads and documents. It is mainly composed of the original pages of your documents. It preserves the image of your document like the way you would normally view it, only except that it is electronic. There should be no changes present when you view it using any kind of device.

Primarily, a PDF contains a structure that is relevant to that of the data in the document being represented. It acquires the values, objects, numbers, streams, strings and names that the file displays. Generally, it is text-based and with a proper external application; one can create minimal modifications in the text and fonts. Binary data’s are usually contained in a PDF file that is why this format is considered a binary file. A typical PDF contains four basic parts, which are the header, body, cross-reference table and trailer.

The header can easily be located and identified at the top of any PDF file. Meanwhile, the body is made up of all the elements found in the document. It is the string of objects that were used to make up the document itself. The part that identifies the order and position of those objects is the cross-reference table. It’s a categorized list of the sequence the objects follow. This allows anyone to gain fast access to the objects needed. Lastly, a trailer will be available which will provide users the information of where to start in the document. This will make navigation through the document easier.

Most PDF files follow this file structure but the user may choose to add a few tweaks using extra elements contained in the body, reference table and trailer. In the end, the creator solely holds the power of choosing whatever a PDF file may contain. Whether it is a book, a magazine or a paper work.

Crazy how it seems like it was just yesterday that we used to envision reading books using hi-tech gadgets similar to those we see in Sci-Fi films about the future. Now, we no longer have to envision these things as this world we are in takes its step into the modern world. Electronic Books (popularly known as eBooks) are exact digital representations of the common printed reads we usually use and read. Note that they are not limited only to digitizing books but as well as other typical printed materials like news papers, magazines, directories and etc. These eBooks can be conveniently read through electronic devices or readers with softwares and applications compatible to its file format. There are several eBook formats and further advancements are yet to continue progressing in time but among them. The most popular and widely used format is the PDF (Portable Document Format). PDF eBooks can easily be used and read through the commonly used software for opening PDF files called the Adobe Reader, which is available for download in computers and other portable devices.

A massive surge of Electronic Readers (e-Readers) now hits the market and in accordance to that, even e-Reader applications are now continuously being developed. Use of Smartphones like the trendy Apple iPhones and Blackberries as e-Readers have become possible because of the wide-spread of numerous applications intended to open eBooks. With the rising demand and popularity of these e-Readers and applications, accessibility of eBooks is now made easier for everyone.

Despite its growing popularity, there is an endless feud going on between eBooks and old-fashioned printed books. Issues about e-Books overtaking the print media alarmed avid fans of these traditional printed reads. But what might be the reason why eBooks are popular? One obvious answer is that it can be really handy and with portable e-Readers available, you can carry tons of books with you without having to deal with a load full of bulky books. Private reading is possible too with e-Readers having features like security lock and passwords. Softwares and applications also made it easy for you to bookmark pages, highlight words, put notes, magnify text, and even dog-ear pages! Some applications even allow you to connect with social networking sites wherein you can post updates about what you are currently reading. To top this all, eBooks are offered in relatively lower price unlike conventional printed reads that can be costly. You can even find and download some eBooks for free over the internet. Online book clubs are major suppliers of these free eBooks on the web. They find it easier to share and get new books to read via file sharing.

There is a huge difference between having the passion for reading and simply loving books. But whatever these differences are, it is fairly important to respect the beliefs and opinion of other individuals. Bear in mind that eBooks are not meant to replace any kind of printed read; they are chiefly made for the convenience of us, the human beings.
